I needed a denim shorts to everyday wear and travel that is not to short and this was perfect. The longer version (25 cm) hit just above the kne (I am 165 cm) and I sized up to a M (normally I am size S) to get a very relaxed look.
You might consider sizing up if you want to have the no stress look, or go for true size if you want to be more put together.
